The bill (Reg. No. 4378-1) aims to establish the rule of law and legitimacy in the society; restore trust in the court system of Ukraine; dismiss persons that rendered decisions aiming at restriction of constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens; and decrease corruption level in the system of courts of general jurisdiction.    

In the course of discussion, the people’s deputies attached attention to the fact that this bill is an adjusted variant to substitute the bill registered under No. 4378 and several other alternative ones.   

Committee members stressed that the bill determines legal and organizational basis for carrying out special examination of judges of courts of general jurisdiction.

The bill suggests formation procedure of the Interim Special Commission and determines basic principles of its functioning.    

The bill proposes amend the laws “On the Court System and the Status of Judges” and “On the Higher Council of Justice”.
